N2  - There are sources who say that the services of the Gunung Kidul Health Center
are still not optimal. In this case, service is related to performance, which later the
researcher will look for the meaningfulness of the informant's work. This study
aims to determine the meaningfulness of the work of general practitioners at the
Patuk Gunung Kidul Health Center. There were two informants in this study who
were general practitioners at the Patuk 1 Health Center and Patuk 2 Gunung Kidul
Health Center who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The
research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a
phenomenological approach. Data collection methods used were semi-structured
interviews and observation. The results of this study explain that there are four
things which state that general practitioners have found the meaning of their work,
namely the first, getting positive values. From the EU informant, the positive value
he felt was that he enjoyed his job and was happy when the patient had recovered.
As for the EA informant, he said that his work was in accordance with his passion
and he was happy to do it. The second is a change in oneself after becoming a
general practitioner. Changes that occur in EU informants are in terms of
communication. EU feels that he communicates better than before, while for EA it
is that he feels more confident in conveying health information. Third, useful for
others through their profession. This was also felt by the two informants. To the
EU informant, he was grateful for being able to intercede for healing sick people,
then to EA he also felt grateful to be able to be a useful person and be able to help
others. The last one is in terms of contributing to the Patuk 1 and 2 Gunung Kidul
health centers. The contribution that EU has made is in the form of a number of
ideas that have been used by the puskesmas until now, then for the EA informant,
he always tries to serve patients as well as possible.
