The objectives of this research are as follows: first, to develop "Smartchemist" learning media based on mobile game in buffer solution and salt hydrolysis main topic for senior high school class XI of even semester as a self-learning source. Second, to measure the quality based on chemistry teacher assessment and student responses for "Smartchemist" mobile game based learning media in buffer solution and salt hydrolysis main topic for senior high school class XI of even semester as a source of self-learning. The development model which use is adaptated from ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The instruments are use 1-5 scale sheet rating containing certain aspect and criteria. The assessment quality was conducted on the 5 aspects of evaluation with 24 assessment indicators. The data result of the resesarch which have done are analyzed by using the category guideline criteria ideal rating for determining the quality of learning media which is developed. The results of this research are (1) develop “Smartchemist” learning media based on mobile game which is game education based on mobile phone with operating system Android. “Smartchemist” learning media is learning media which have materi learning and practise excersice in buffer solution and salt hydrolysis, (2) this reserach shows that "Smartchemist" learning media based on mobile game which developed according 4 high school chemistry teachers in Yogyakarta has got very good quality. The average score is derived as 102,5 from ideal high average score of 120 and the ideals percentage 85,416%. In addition, this instructional media received a positive response from students with the ideals percentage 95.263% and the average score 18.1 of the higest average score ideal 19. %Z ,Pembimbing: Endaruji Sedyadi, S.Si., M.Sc.,
