"This research aims to explore the simulations developed by PhET\r\napplications for learning physics on the subject of the kinetic theory of gases.\r\nThis research is a Research and Development (R&D) study. development\r\nrefers to the 4 D model which includes 4 steps, namely (1) define, (2) design, (3)\r\ndevelop, (4) disseminate. This research was carried out until the develop stage,\r\nlimited to the assessme nt stage. The research instrument is a product assessment\r\ninstrument validation and product assessment width. The data obtained in this\r\nresearch are qualitative and quantitative data. Qua litative data is criticism and\r\nsuggestions from the assessor while qu antitative data is the scores obtained from\r\nthe assessor. Quantitative data were analyzed using a Likert scale with 5 answer\r\noptions \"very poor\", \"less\", \"enough\", \"good\", \"very good\".\r\nThe results of this research are (1) a virtual experimental design based on\r\nPhET (Physics Education and Technology) has been developed which contains five\r\nexperiments namely Boyle's law experiment, Gay Lussac's law experiment, ideal\r\ngas equation experiment , effective gas velocity experiment, average velocity\r\nexperiment . (2) products d eveloped based on the subject experts assessment get a\r\npercentage of 87% with very good criteria (SB) and the teacher's assessment get\r\n90% with very good criteria (SB)."^^ .
