The company's obligations as stated in the Triple Bottom Line concept are implemented through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. CSR programs are generally carried out using three models, namely circles, intersecting circles, and concentric circles. For this reason, this study seeks to carry out a comparative analysis of the three models in three companies owned by Bugis traders in South Sulawesi. The comparative analysis is intended to explore the CSR model implemented by these companies. In addition, this study also aims to analyze the implementation of CSR model in companies run by Bugis traders in South Sulawesi. Using a qualitative approach, this study was designed to dig up in-depth information regarding CSR practices in companies of Bugis traders in South Sulawesi. The data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, while the data were analyzed using the triangulation method as is commonly used in qualitative research. This research shows that the predetermined Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) model in these companies does not fully comply with one of the widely applied models. These companies owned by Bugis merchants in South Sulawesi considers religion as the basis to underpin every aspect of CSR program. Thus, this research offers a breakthrough model, namely the concentric intersecting circle model. This model covers four aspects of obligations, namely religion, economy (profit), social aspects (people), and environmental aspects (planet). The CSR implementation of the intersecting circle model for the companies under study can be implemented using a distributed policy system (distributed holdings). This system provides flexibility to each subsidiary or business unit to carry out CSR programs in accordance with the actual needs and surrounding social environmental conditions. This system makes the foundation as an umbrella organization for CSR programs carried out by subsidiaries or business units. date: 2023-08-29 date_type: published pages: 237 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: PASCASAJANA thesis_type: doctoral thesis_name: other citation: Ambo Dalle, NIM.: 1630316001 (2023) MODEL CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY PADA PERUSAHAAN MILIK SAUDAGAR BUGIS DI SULAWESI SELATAN.
