Colorectal cancer can be treated with effective natural antibiotic ingredients, one of which is the potential of jamblang leaves (S. cumini) which have known contain various secondary metabolites. It is well known fact that endophytic bacteria can produce similar secondary metabolite compounds as its host (plant). T he aim of this study was to evaluate the potency of isolated endophytic bacteria from jamblang leave as an antibiotic agent to inhibit the growth of E. coli and C. albicans. Eleven bacterial isolates were successfully isolated from jamblang leaves. The supernatant and pellets from the isolates EDJUj4 and EDJTe showed high inhibition of the growth of the test microbes E. coli and C. albicans after the antagonist test using the paper disc assay method. Based on the identification results, IDJUj4 and EDJTe isolates were strongly suspected as members of the genus Bacillus.} }
