XYZ is a modern retail company that has a fairly high level of customer arrivals during the month of Ramadan and will peak as Eid approaches. The high arrival of these customers will certainly affect the level of customer service at the cashier. While the level of service must be right on target according to the needs in the field so that the company does not lose out on operational costs. The application of queuing theory is needed to design a queuing model according to the needs of the company and in accordance with its service standards. The purpose of this study was to determine the queuing model that can optimize cashier service facilities at PT. XYZ. The model used in this research is (M/M/7 : FCFS/?/?) in shift 1 and (M/M/12 : FCFS/?/?) in shift 2. Based on the analysis results, the system utility value is 21 % at 08.00-10.00, 92% at 10.00-12.00, 78% at 12.00-14.00, 28% at 14.00-16.00, 19% at 16.00-18.00, and 90% at 18.00-20.00. As for the value of the possibility of idle facilities by 22% at 08.00-10.00, 0.07% at 10.00-12.00, 0.35% at 12.00-14.00, 3.6% at 14.00-16.00, 10% at 16.00-18.00, and 0.001% at 18.00-20.00. By applying the queuing model, PT. XYZ can save cashier operating costs by 20,8%.
