abstract: The pattern of husband-wife relationship is a pattern of relations that is built in a
family that determines the distribution of rights and duties in carrying out daily
life. Families of couples with disabilities are generally prone to fights due to
imperfect physical, mental or intellectual conditions. Therefore, in families of
disabled couples, the husband-wife relationship pattern that is carried out is very
important to look at the situation and condition of the physical and mental state of
both partners so that they can complement, complement and understand each
other so that a family that is saki>nah mawadah wa rah}mah can be realized.
Therefore, in this study the author will examine two points, namely: what is the
pattern of husband-wife relations for couples with Disabilities In The Special
Region Of Yogyakarta Disability Committee? And What is the pattern of husband
and wife relationships in couples with Disabilities at the Special Region of
Yogyakarta Disability Committee from the perspective of muba>dalah?.
This type of research is field research or field research with a descriptive analysis
approach. While the method of analysis using qualitative methods with inductive
way of thinking. Data collection in this study was carried out by interviewing
several families of persons with disabilities at the Special Region of Yogyakarta
Disability Committee and studying the book Qira>'ah muba>dalah: a progressive
interpretation of gender justice in Islam by Faqihuddin Abdul Qodir.
The results of this study indicate that some of the patterns of husband-wife
relations in couples with disabilities in the disability committee of the Special
Region of Yogyakarta are in line and some are not in line with the concept of
husband-wife relations in the book Qira>'ah muba>dalah: progressive interpretation
and gender justice by Faqihuddin Abdul Qadir. In mub theory, a good relationship
pattern will be realized when the five pillars are fulfilled, namely: commitment to
the marriage bond which is a mandate from Allah SWT, the principle of pairing
and mutuality, the behavior of giving each other comfort and willingness, treating
each other well, and the habit of consulting together in all matters. matter.
