        abstract = {This research examines the views on human liberation from two different philosophical perspectives, namely Hassan Hanafi and Friedrich Nietzsche. Hasan Hanafi, a progressive Muslim thinker, offers a view of human liberation that is rooted in religious understanding and Islamic philosophy. Meanwhile, Friedrich Nietzsche, a controversial German philosopher, developed the idea of individual liberation through rebellion against moral norms and the development of the will to power.
This research is a literature study to analyze the views on human liberation in the perspectives of Hasan Hanafi and Friedrich Nietzsche. A philosophical approach is used as the main methodological foundation in critically analyzing the thoughts of both. By referring to relevant literature and philosophical papers of both figures, this research explores the deep meanings of their views on human liberation.
The results of this study show that although Hasan Hanafi and Friedrich Nietzsche have different cultural backgrounds, religions, and philosophical views, their views on human liberation have elements of convergence in an effort to define the meaning and purpose of human liberation. Although Hanafi's views are more likely to be rooted in an understanding of Islamic religion and morality, while Nietzsche tends to put forward an existentialist view and individual freedom, these two figures have points of similarity in recognizing the importance of a critical understanding of social norms and fears in realizing human liberation.}
