Hence, it is imperative to enhance the implementation of character education to address the complexities presented by contemporary society and the process of globalization. One approach to character education is engaging in critical analysis of classical philosophical texts. This study examines the thoughts of TGKH. Muhammad Zainuddin Abdul Madjid in the he scholarly examination of New Testament Renewal within the Lombok setting aims to address the various obstacles posed by the process of globalization.  The objective of this study is to conduct an analysis and description of the character qualities present in the New Testament Renewal and explore their potential application in fostering social transformation within the context of globalization. The anticipated outcome of this research endeavor is to contribute to the existing corpus of knowledge within the realm of educational counseling. The study employs a descriptive-qualitative approach and relies on a comprehensive review of existing literature. This study employs a philosophical framework, examines both primary and secondary data sources, utilizes document-based data collection methods, and employs content analysis and interpretation for analysis.  According to the research findings, the New Testament Renewal encompasses ten distinct character values. These values include religious commitment, self-awareness, adherence to religious laws, dedication to religion and homeland, respect for parents and teachers, optimism, enthusiasm, emotional restraint, education and pedagogy, and purification of the heart. The implications of these character characteristics for social change in the era of globalization encompass several key aspects, namely: heightened consciousness regarding materialistic pursuits, emphasis on individuality and self-centeredness, intensified rivalry in various spheres of life, and the prevalence of hedonistic lifestyles. The consideration of these principles is of utmost importance while resolving the issues posed by globalization.
