        abstract = {This research aim to know perception of consumer to expansion of
collection in Perpustakaan Umum Daerah Kabupaten Karanganyar.
This research applies descriptive method, with research subject is
pengguan library in area Kabupaten Karanganyar.
Population from this research is all library consumer which amounts to
763. From the population is taken [by] sample based on the theory Arikunto, in
earning sample to amount to 77. Sampling applies method accidental sampling.
Variable in this research haves the character of unique that is perception
of consumer to expansion of collection in Perpustakaan Umum Daerah Kabupaten
Karanganyar.
Method which in using in data collecting that is observation method,
interview, documentation and enquette. Data analysis descriptively quantitative.
Measurement of effectiveness based on scale likert ( 4-1) which result of his(its is
interpreted to to become hardly agreing, agrees, disagree and hardly disagree.
Result of research indicates that perception of consumer to expansion of
collection in library of sub-province area public karanganyar have been good and
has fulfilled requirement of consumer with result of average value total 3,17.
Based on the value, hence suggested to Perpustakaan Umum Daerah Kabupaten
Karanganyar to be more increases collection expansion}
