"Desire always accompanies the subject throughout his life. Subjects\r\nalways identify something outside of themselves to find a complete identity.\r\nFrom these desires the subject has a need (need), and a desire that becomes\r\na desire. However, symbolic reality necessitates the existence of a split and\r\ndivided subject, because after all desire involves consciousness (ego) which\r\nis disrupted by the desires of others. This reality also occurs in the novel\r\nLayālī Turkistān by Najīb al-Kailānī which describes the free structure of\r\nTurkistan Society as a whole, and then crumbled when China and Russia\r\ncame to colonize. The process of subject division in literary texts represents\r\nthe author, how the author cannot be separated in the text process. This study\r\naims to see how the divided freedom of the Turkistan Society occurs in the\r\nnovel Layālī Turkistān.This study uses a descriptive qualitative research\r\nmethod with Lacanian psychoanalysis reading, where the reading is to see\r\nthe divided freedom of the Turkistan Society in the novel Layālī Turkistān\r\nand see the desires that shape the subject of the novel character who is also\r\nthe subject of the author himself. This research also needs to use the\r\nhistorical reading of the author's subject as a whole. From the novel Layālī\r\nTurkistān, using the psychoanalytic perspective of Jacques Lacan, the\r\nresearcher finds how the subjects in the novel are underprivileged due to the\r\ncolonial acts carried out by China and Russia to take advantage of Turkistan.\r\nThe resistance of desire that every character in Layālī Turkistān's novel does\r\nis a re-satisfaction of the jouissance that has been captured by others in him.\r\nThe action is a choice that they identify continuously to find the 'ideal ego'.\r\nThe discourse on the divided desire for freedom of the Turkistan Society in\r\nthe novel is also a form of resistance by the author Najīb al-Kailānī to fulfill\r\nhis desires. It can be seen how his background and concern for Muslims\r\naround the world are trying to be discriminated against by communist\r\nmovements."^^ . "2022-11-07" . . . .
