description: The discussion of this research is the economic history of the  Jogokariyan mosque and its influence on the people of Yogyakarta (1999-  2022). Jogokariyan Mosque is a place of worship which is known as the  mosque that saves the people. starting from pioneering to the economic  development of the Jogokariyan mosque. The purpose of this study is to  explain the role and function of the Jogokariyan mosque and its influence  on the people of Yogyakarta (1999-2022). Finally, explaining the success  and success of the Jogokariyan mosque, such as receiving an award from  the government in the form of a certificate that the Jogokariyan mosque is  an example of a national mosque. This study uses a sociological approach,  there are three concepts used, namely, economy, mosque and society. Social  interaction and change using historical methods, among others, heuristics,  criticism, interpretation and historiography.  The results of this study indicate changes in the economy of the  Jogokariyan mosque (1999-2022). The people of Jogokariyan are also  experiencing very rapid social changes. The economic progress of the  Jogokariyan mosque with the existence of a mosque-based business, daring  to open employment opportunities, being able to provide subsidies to the  Jogokariyan community in the form of basic food items, in the form of  health polyclinics, minimizing poverty and unemployment. the social  progress of the Jogokariyan community starting from formal education,  providing an Islamic Center Hall for worshipers who want seminars or  comparative studies and inviting the community to increase religious  tourism.  Jogokariyan Mosque is one of the people's paths to benefit, prosperity  and welfare. The number of programs formed by the administrators of the  Jogokariyan mosque makes the community more tips in increasing their  piety to Allah SWT
