Zainudin, M.Ag abstract: This research starts from the doubts of converts after deciding to convert to religion. Society considers the event of religious conversion to be a taboo matter. Thus, converts experience anxiety due to conflicts arising from the social environment. These problems include being ostracized by family, losing their place of residence, economic crisis, not receiving assistance and guidance. The Yogyakarta Mualaf Center (MCY) is an official institution that works to assist Muslim converts and prospective converts who wish to emigrate. It is not limited to the process of converting to Islam but also participates in religious formation and legal protection for converts. In this research, the author used a qualitative descriptive approach. The data collection technique for this research includes direct observation at the Yogyakarta Mualaf Center. Next, conduct interviews with supervisory informants, administrators, converts and finally documentation. Researchers use Anwar Arifin's communication strategy theory. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions/verification from Miles and Huberman. And in determining the validity of the data, the author uses source triangulation techniques. The results of the research show that the communication strategy of the Yogyakarta Convertible Center Institute for community religious development is carried out by knowing the audience, determining the message, determining the method and selecting the use of media. Then, the communication strategy stages are implemented in a religious development program and are carried out without force, but in a subtle and accessible way to the community. The communication strategy for religious development carried out by MCY follows current developments. The existence of MCY can hinder non-Islamic missionary movements.
