This research aims to examine the relationship between authoritative parenting styles and gadget usage intensity with the social-emotional development of young children in the Islamic Kindergarten "Tunas Melati" in Yogyakarta. The study employs a quantitative method with a correlational approach. Data collection involved 37 parents with children aged 4-5 years attending the mentioned kindergarten. Data were gathered using psychological scales and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The research findings indicate the following: 1) There is a significant relationship between authoritative parenting styles and gadget usage intensity with the social-emotional development of young children, with a p-value of 0.000; 2) There is a positive correlation between authoritative parenting styles and the social-emotional development of young children, with a p-value of 0.000; 3) There is a negative correlation between gadget usage intensity and the social-emotional development of young children, with a p-value of 0.010. These findings suggest that children raised with authoritative parenting styles and lower gadget usage tend to have better social-emotional development.} }
