At the age of 4 to 5 years, children should be able to say numbers 1 to 10, write down the numbers, match numbers with number symbols, and Use number symbols to count. But in reality, when the pre-research was carried out in January 2023, there were still some students who had not been able to do this. Teachers' efforts have a big influence on improving children's numeracy skills. With that, teachers need to make efforts to improve the numeracy skills of young children. The aim of this research is to describe numeracy skills, describe the efforts made by teachers to improve numeracy skills, and describe the factors that support and hinder the development of numeracy skills of group A children at RA Sahabat Tlogowono. The subjects of this research were the principal, group A teachers, and group A students at RA Sahabat Tlogowono. In this research, the data collection methods used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation and verification. Testing the validity of the data in this study used triangulation techniques. The research results obtained show that the numeracy skills of group A children at RA Sahabat Tlogowono are quite good. There are 6 children who are already at the optimal stage in their numeracy skills, and 2 other children are still lacking in numeracy skills. Efforts made by group teachers to improve their numeracy skills include preparing lessons well, namely preparing learning materials, preparing materials and teaching aids, as well as varying methods, including playing, telling stories, conversations or dialogues, singing and demonstrations. Improving numeracy skills has supporting factors, namely student readiness, teacher readiness in teaching, and parental motivation. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are internal factors within the child, lack of learning media, and the family environment. %Z Pembimbing: Dra. Nadlifah, M.Pd.
