The purpose of this development research is 3, namely (1) To determine the validity of short comic media products build flat according to expert assessments. (2) To find out the practicality of short comic media, mathematics wakes up flat for teachers and students of grade III MI Dukuh Lembeyan. (3) To determine the increase in learning activity in grade III MI Dukuh students when using short comic products. This research is a development research or Research and Development (R &D) using a 4D approach model from Thiagarajan, which uses the stages of Design, Define, Development and Dissemination. This study used the subjects of grade III students as many as 14 students, which was carried out in sequence with the approach model used. The validity of this media was obtained through two expert validations, while the results of media expert validation were seen from the aspect of linguistic feasibility with an average value of 3.43 and a percentage of 86%, while for the feasibility of the graphic aspect, the average value was 3.22 and the percentage was 81%. Meanwhile, from the validation of material experts, the results of the feasibility of the material aspect had an average value of 3.67 and a percentage of 92%, while for the feasibility of the aspect of learning activity indicators, the average value was 3.86 and the percentage was 96%. In addition, judging from the practicality of the media obtained from teacher responses and student responses, where teacher responses resulted in an average assessment of 3.40 and a percentage of 85%, and the results of student responses showed an average of 11.79 and a percentage of 98%. In addition, judging from the results of observations regarding increasing student learning activity through 3 stages of learning, in stage I produced an average of 30.57 and a percentage of 76%, in stage II produced an average of 31.64 and a percentage of 79%, while in stage III it produced an average of 32.71 and a percentage of 84% so that at the time of application in 3 stages of learning it was said that the use of short comic media was able to increase the learning activity of grade III students MI Dukuh Lembeyan with categories Good.
