Where incidents of brawls between students, bullying and abuse are increasingly common in schools and Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, this research wants to describe why a conservative religious education system is implemented in forming religious character, analyze how a conservative religious education system is implemented and to find the implications of a conservative religious education system at the Nurulhuda Islamic Boarding School, Sumenep, Madura. This research was conducted through qualitative methods using primary and secondary data. Primary data sources were obtained from Asatid, Nyai and several students at the Nurulhuda Islamic Boarding School. Secondary data sources were obtained from electronic media, books, and various research results in various reputable journals. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. Testing the validity of the data was carried out by extending participation, persistence and bias and triangulation of sources. Data analysis techniques are carried out by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions inductively. This research shows that: 1). The implementation of a conservative religious education system is aimed at training students to be accustomed to practicing the Sunnah, maintaining good old traditions in Islam, to educate students to learn to improve their relationship with God, to create students who can later become mundzirul qaum who remain firm on the teachings of the Qur'an and Hadith. 2). The implementation of a conservative religious education system at the Nurulhuda Islamic Boarding School is based on planning, implementation and evaluation. The implementation of the education system at the Nurulhuda Islamic Boarding School is assisted by methods of habituation, example, advice, discipline, stories, parables, motivation, memorization, bandogan, discipline, commands and prohibitions as well as munadzarah methods that have been designed and arranged well and effectively. 3). Santri have good noble character, such as telling the truth, maintaining cleanliness, behaving politely, being responsible, having an understanding of religious teachings, developing a peace-loving attitude, obeying Islamic religious teachings, being disciplined in performing prayers, being able to memorize hadiths, interpreting the Al-Qur'an, muthala'ah, mahfudzat, rules of monotheism.
