Children still appear shy when posing or responding to questions. Their expressive language skills are still underdeveloped. Children lack confidence in expressing and conveying ideas, thoughts, concepts, and emotions through words and expressions when communicating with peers and teachers. Early childhood education, in essence, is a setting designed to provide stimulation for all aspects of a child's development. Providing stimulation in the language aspect from an early age will have an impact on other aspects, as all aspects of a child's development are interconnected. One of the language abilities that need to be developed in children is expressive language skills. Therefore, the researcher took the initiative to provide a solution in helping to stimulate children's expressive language through the Monopoli Pintar (MOPIN) game. The type of research used was Research and Development (R&D), following the research phases defined by Thiagarajan, which included defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The author conducted observations during the testing of the Monopoli Pintar (MOPIN) game as a learning media for expressive language development in 4-5-year-old children. The literature review was conducted by examining various information related to early childhood expressive language and learning media. Furthermore, the researcher used assessment questionnaires to validate the media by experts in the field of media and subject matter experts. The research was conducted to create a new product and internally test the product design (media validation by experts). The validation results were implemented with 14 children aged 4-5 years in class A2 of IT ADAR Early Childhood Education. The results of this research are as follows: (1) to identify expressive language learning media for early childhood; (2) to understand the importance of expressive language in early childhood, leading to the creation of a related learning media called Monopoli Pintar (MOPIN); (3) the implications of the Monopoli Pintar (MOPIN) game show that children appear enthusiastic, curious, and impressed with the Monopoli Pintar (MOPIN) game media. Based on these results, it can be concluded that Monopoli Pintar (MOPIN) can be used as a learning media for expressive language in early childhood, particularly for children aged 4-5 years or in group A.
