It also sees that the index has only been applied in the economic and Islamic financing sectors, while technology and science, in particular Engineering Software, has not. The research focuses on planning Maqāṣid Syarī‘ah Software Development Index-MSSDI a new measurement standard of software development process, MSSDI application to samples, and retrospective analysis of the application outcome. Using Maqāṣid Sharī’a Index theory from Mustafa Omar Mohammed, this design research employs three steps: problem conceptualizing, solution design, and empirical validation. Five main points were discovered in the study. First, the ISOCMMI combination is integrative-natured with four (4) different categories – Strong (S), Large (L), Partial (L), and Weak (W). Second, Maqāṣid Syarī‘ah Software Development Index (MSSDI) design is based on an integrative relation between ISO-CMMI and Maqāṣid Sharī’a Index (MSI). MSSDI has seven (7) dimensions: 1. Advancement of Knowledge, 2. Installing New Skills and Improvements, 3. Fair Returns, 4. Cheap Product and Services, 5. Elimination of Injustices, 6. Information for Stakeholders, and 7. Stakeholder’s Interest. Third, the implementation of MSSDI on software development is under 74 indicators with two options – True (T) and False (F) – each; the total score is 100% with T = 1 and F = 0. Fourth, according to the respondents, applying MSSDI while developing the software shows the score of 91.89%, 77.92%, and 74.32% from informans 1,2, and 3 respectively. Fifth, in the MSSDI retrospective, the analysis of software dvelopment values 88.33% or scores 4.42 out of 5 scale (Likert). In addition, Maqāṣid Sharī’a experts said that MSSDI was worth using and commercializing when detail and complex narations of Maqāṣid Sharī’a concept from ulamas of Ushul Fiqh and Maqasid are added. %Z Promotor: Prof. Dr. H.
