This research is intended to determine the stability of the dyes in red dragon fruit peel and the resistance of natural dye red dragon fruit peel to primissima cotton fabric, which includes a fastness test covered dry and wet rubbing. The red dragon fruit peel was obtained by maceration extraction method using ethanol 96\%. In this research, the anthocyanin using spectrophotometry method was carried out in wavelength between 200- 700 nm. After that, the color stability test was carried out on variations in heating temperature including 40, 50 and 60 ?C and on irradiation time at 1, 2, and 3 hourd. The stability of natural dye at temperature showed at 40?C whereas the test by irradiation time isn?t stable. The color fastness by the dry rub test showed a scale of 5 (very good). On the other hand, the wet rub showed a scale of 4 to 5 (good). Based on this research, it can be concluded that red dragon fruit peel can be used as a natural dye and the fixator concentration does not affect the color fastness ratings on primissima cotton fabric.} }
