However, the practice of marriages involving Indonesian citizens and/or Indonesian citizens with foreign nationals abroad has been found to be undocumented, particularly in Saudi Arabia. Indonesian citizens often encounter challenges when attempting to marry in this country, with administrative requirements and marriage regulations posing a significant obstacle. One of the frequently faced problems is related to the perceived difficulty in fulfilling the administrative provisions and requirements.This research addresses two main questions: (1) What are the marriage practices of Indonesian citizens in Saudi Arabia? (2) What are the supporting and inhibiting factors for the practice of marrying Indonesian citizens in Saudi Arabia? This type of research is Field Research or Field Research with a normativejuridical approach. The thesis is qualitative research employing deductive reasoning. Data for this research is collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Specifically, it focuses on the Marriage Practices of Indonesian Citizens in Saudi Arabia: A Study of the Terms and Conditions of Marriage, analyzed within the theoretical framework of Lawrance Meir Friedman's legal system. The research findings reveal that marriages of Indonesian citizens in Saudi Arabia can be categorized into two types: those held at the Indonesian Consulate General and the Ministry of Justice. However, marriages between Indonesian citizens in Saudi Arabia encounter numerous administrative obstacles. Saudi Arabia has easier requirements compared to the marriage requirements in Indonesia, this can be seen from the number of requirements that must be met. The supporting factors are the clarity of the guidelines for Minister of Religion Regulation number 20 of 2019, ease of carrying out Marriage Registration, and handing over marriage books. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is the lack of facilities for registering marriage wishes, examining marriage wishes, and announcing marriage wishes at the Indonesian Consulate General.} }
