abstract: RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta is a radio station that belongs to country as a public broadcasting institution. RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta as a media conventional in this digital transformation era, it’s hard to still exist in this ‘new media’-rivalry. To survive as a media conventional existence, RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta must have a great program strategy. Program strategic-planning is a main key of program planning that involves the development of short-, medium-, and long-range plans to permit the station to attain its programming. The purpose of this research is to describe how is the program strategy of RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta to maintaining its existence in this digital transformation era. This research uses qualitive method and program strategic theory. The data that has been processed is obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation to RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta. The result of this research describes how is the program strategy from program planning, program production, program execution, also monitoring and evaluation that implemented on RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta. This research found out that on planning program, RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta’s program promotion isn’t optimal. Also on program production, RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta’s department resource considered not optimal because RRI Pro 2 Yogyakarta didn’t have production manager.
