The ASEAN region includes a population that has great opportunities for trade in the global market. For this reason, the influence of macroeconomic factors and increased export performance can influence the balance of the current account balance thereby restoring the economy in ASEAN countries. This research analyzes the influence of macroeconomic variables on the current account balance in ASEAN countries. This research uses panel data for the period 2000-2022. The analysis technique used is the panel data regression method with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) using the Eviews version 9 tool. The results of this research show that gross domestic product (GDP) has a negative and significant effect on the current account balance. The inflation rate has a negative and significant effect on the current account balance. The real effective exchange rate has a positive and significant effect on the current account balance. Furthermore, foreign direct investment has a positive and significant effect on the current account balance.} }
