The purpose of this research was to isolate, characterize and identify endophytic bacteria that potential to produce an antimicrobial compound which were isolated from stems, leaves and roots of mahkota dewa plant. The antimicrobial activity was determined by measuring the inhibition zone with paper disc assay method using pathogenic microbes i.e. Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 and Candida albicans ATCC 10231 as indicator. A total of 28 isolates of endophytic bacteria were obtained from mahkota dewa plant, 7 isolates of them were known as the most potential ones that produce antimicrobes, showing the most significant inhibition zone. By using profile matching and numerical taxonomy method, they were identified as the member of genus Pseudomonas, Klebsiella, Bacillus and Enterobacter. } }
