N2  - This research discusses skills guidance to increase employment
opportunities for prisoners of Class IIA Yogyakarta. With this skills guidance
program, it can improve the skills of prisoners so that they can increase the
employment opportunities of prisoners after release later.
This research aims to find out, describe, analyze the steps of skills guidance
to increase employment opportunities for prisoners in the Class IIA Correctional
Institution Yogyakarta.This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive
approach. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and
documentation. The subjects in the study were 2 prisoners, 2 skills guidance
instructors, Head of the Skills Guidance Section of Class IIA Yogyakarta
Correctional Institution. The results of the data analysis show that there are four
steps of skills guidance carried out by the Yogyakarta Class IIA Correctional
Institution to increase employment opportunities for prisoners, namely the planning
step of the skills guidance program, the step of preparing the skills guidance
program, the step of implementing the skills guidance program and the last step of
evaluating the skills guidance program skills guidance program.
