Most role models favored by teenagers come from celebrities who then make them role models in making decisions, how to speak, lifestyle, and even how to dress. Sometimes teenagers are so fond of role models that they think the celebrity is their lover. So that not a few teenagers show their love for celebrities by buying goods related to their idols, this can lead to consumptive behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between celebrity worship and consumptive behavior in adolescent K-Pop fans in Yogyakarta. This study is a correlational quantitative study using data collection techniques in the form of a Likert scale consisting of a Celebrity Attitude Scale (CAS) measuring instrument and a consumptive behavior scale, then analyzed using the Pearson product-moment correlation test. The subjects in this study amounted to 143 respondents aged 14-17 years who were obtained through the sampling techniques using purposive sampling. The results showed that there is a positive relationship between celebrity worship and consumptive behavior in teenage K-Pop fans in Yogyakarta, with a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05).
