        abstract = {This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the information retrieval system using Google Scholar in meeting the information needs of users. In this study using a type of quantitative research using an experimental approach. The subject in this research is Google Scholar. The object of this research is the effectiveness of the information retrieval system using Google Scholar. The population in this study is the entire collection stored in Google Scholar which can be searched by keyword or keywords with the sample that will be used is the keyword or subject of all undergraduate study programs at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, totaling 41 study programs from 8 faculties as a reference in determining keywords. Data collection techniques using Observation, Documentation, and Tests. The results of this study indicate that the information retrieval system using Google Scholar has not been effective with a precision of 0.39. We recommend that you consider improvements to the number of words entered or input into the database so that they can be called up or the ability of the system to respond to keywords or queries entered by users in conducting searches.}
