abstract: Da'wah is a call, invitation or effort to change an unfavorable thing or condition into a better and more perfect condition, both in terms of individuals and groups. The realization of da'wah itself is not just an effort to increase understanding in outlook on life and behavior, but the realization of this da'wah must also be able to penetrate broader targets. Da'wah is a process of interaction carried out between preachers and mad'u, both in small and large groups. The interaction between the preacher and the mad'u can determine the success of the da'wah process itself.
This research study discusses persuasive communication among rural children in Wagir Kidul Village, Pulung District, Ponorogo Regency. This article explains the very worrying condition of children in Wagir Kidul Village, where they still have minimal knowledge about religious knowledge. This problem was caused by a lack of sufficient human resources to carry out da'wah activities in this area, so that religious activities in this area were on hiatus for 10 years. As a result of the lack of religious knowledge, many of these children commit social deviance and moral decline, some even committing crimes. This is what makes Santri Takhasus moved to carry out da'wah activities in this area to eradicate behavior that violates religious and state regulations.
This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data collection uses observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses reduction by collecting data, presenting and drawing conclusions and is related to the theory used. The results of this research show that the da'wah used using persuasive communication carried out in Wagir Kidul is proven by various developments experienced by children and the community. Apart from that, religious activities have started to become active again, and the behavior shown by the children in Wagir Kidul has shown that there has been a positive effect shown from the da'wah activities carried out by Santri Takhasus.
