        abstract = {The Kingdom (2007) is an action movie about the FBI team investigating the attacks in the Al-Rahman housing compound for American employees in Riyadh, Saudi. In the movie, the utterance spoken by Fleury as the main character to the interlocutor contained deixis. Therefore, the researcher is interested to find out the types of deixis used by Fleury and the referent of each deixis, which is possible it can be different referents, although the deixis has the same form. To develop this research, the researcher used the deixis theory by Levinson C. Stephen to identify the types of deixis, and supported by the theory of speech event by Dell Hymes to explain the context of the situation and to find the referent of each deixis. This research uses the descriptive qualitative method, which describes the referent of deixis in the utterance that Fleury speaks based on the context of the situation. In the discussion of data, the researcher used a sampling technique that only takes two data for the discussion by categorizing each type of deixis. This research found 33 context of utterances containing 29 personal deixis, 7 time deixis, 11 place deixis, 7 discourse deixis, and 14 social deixes. In conclusion, the researcher concluded that Fleury used all types of deixis, and its referent depends on their context whether it is the same form, it may be a different referent.}
