The aims of this study were (1) to describe the application of bibliotherapy in SLB N 1 Bantul, (2) to analyze the process of implementing bibliotherapy in SLB N 1 Bantul, (3) to determine the role played by the library to support bibliotherapy activities. This research is research with a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study indicate that bibliotherapy has a positive impact on students with autism, this can be seen in the students who have been given bibliotherapy to be more cheerful and sensitive to their surroundings. In practice, the library can play an active role in supporting the process of implementing bibliotherapy by utilizing the collection of library materials owned by the library as a therapeutic medium and by utilizing the reading room located in the library as one of the therapy support facilities. Librarians as part of the library also play an active role in contributing to the implementation of bibliotherapy, namely by providing maximum assistance to students during the therapy process. This study emphasizes the application of bibliotherapy to students with autism as a means of communication therapy. The subjects in this study were limited, namely focusing on students with special needs Aspergers with autism spectrum (part of autism). This is based on the condition of students who are more cooperative in participating in the therapy process and are more suitable to be able to see the feedback given to the fullest. The results of the study show that libraries can contribute to community social activities, namely as a center for book-based therapy activities. This role can be added by collaborating with practitioners who are competent in their fields so that they are more focused and can provide maximum assistance. %Z Pembimbing: Dr. Syifaun Nafisah, M.T
