N2  - Behind the background, religion towards women's gender no longer really exists, instead it takes place in patriarchal, misogynistic texts, and ultimately discredits women. This research also looks further at how women write about women in texts, and breaks down gender problems in religious discourse as the main theme of the novel Jann?t wa Devil. One of the female literary figures who is consistent in writing women in texts, namely Nawal al-Sa'd?w?, by appointing women as the main characters in her novels, breaks down religious discourses on gender which leads to the negation of women in them. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze gender problems in religious discourse written by Nawal al-Sa'd?w? and also examine the gynocritical models in the novel Jann?t wa Ibl?s. In this study, the authors used the gynocritical theory which discussed women's works produced by women, this theory paid special attention to women as women and the gynocritic theory also considered women as textual producers or producers. The method of collecting data in this study uses the method of observing and noting. The method of data analysis in this study is to use a descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, sentences and contain gender problems in religious discourse. The results of this study, research can describe the four models contained in the study of gynocritics, namely biology, language, psychology and culture.
