%T TRADISI KHATAMAN AL-QUR’AN DAN PENGEMBANGAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT DI DESA BEDONO PAGERON KECAMATAN KEMIRI KABUPATEN PURWOREJO JAWA TENGAH, 2004-2022 M
%X This paper examines the tradition of khataman al-Qur'an and community economic development in Bedono Pageron Village, Kemiri District, Purworejo Regency, Central Java, 2004-2022 AD. To analyze the problems in this study, the researcher used Ibn Khaldun’s theory regarding historical controlling factors. In addition, to approach the object of research, researcher use a cultural anthropological approach and an economic approach. The method used in this study was the historical research method which includes: heuristics, verification, interpretation, and historiography. The primary sources in this study were data from participants in the khataman al-Qur'an tradition in Bedono Pageron Village from 2004-2022, participants in the Khataman al-Qur’an tradition, photos and videos of activities, as well as interview results.
The findings of this study were that the tradition of khataman al-Qur’an in the village of Bedono Pageron was one of the local traditions as part of the Islamization process that occurs in society. This tradition arose on the initiative of the people of Bedono Pageron village to continue to develop Islamic law. The development of the khataman al-Qur’an tradition can be seen in 3 periods, namely in 2004-2009, 2010-2014, and 2015-2022. This significant development can be seen from the transportation pattern used in the Khataman al-Qur’an tradition. The economic development of the people of Bedono Pageron village in this tradition can be seen from the community’s initiative to support the economy by opening small businesses when the implementation of this tradition takes place. Thus, the khataman al-Qur’an tradition creates socio-economic relations in people’s lives.
