Educators are required to\r\napply contextual chemistry learning in knowledge construction.\r\nTherefore, students need learning resources related to everyday life so\r\nthat students are helped in the learning process. Soap is one of the\r\nproducts related to chemical materials that exist in everyday life. Soap\r\nis a cleaning tool for chemically reacting sodium, alkaline, and fatty\r\nacids. The main ingredients, NaOH and fat, can vary in the\r\nsaponification. Researchers researched the effect of NaOH variations\r\non the physical quality of solid soap with a combination of oil as a\r\nix\r\nstudent learning resource, which aims to determine the appropriate\r\nNaOH levels so that they can produce good quality soap products and\r\nknow the material related to the soap making process according to the\r\ncurriculum. The research was conducted using two methods. First, the\r\neffect of variations in NaOH levels on the quality of the physical\r\nproperties of solid oil combination soap was carried out using\r\nexperimental methods and descriptive analysis. Second, an analysis of\r\nthe curriculum distribution of school chemistry learning materials and\r\nsoap making as student learning resources was carried out using the\r\nliterary study method. Based on the research results, the soap-making\r\nprocess that produces good quality soap after carrying out a pH test,\r\nfoam height test, and organoleptic test is a soap with a NaOH content\r\nof 32%. Based on an analysis of the curriculum distribution of school\r\nchemistry learning materials and an analysis of tea as a student learning\r\nresource.
