What caught the author's attention at that time was the religious atmosphere at SMAN 3 Magelang. The author was both surprised and amazed, how could a public (state) school, which does not have a religious background, have religious activities that are not much different from boarding schools or schools with religious backgrounds or schools labeled as Integrated Islamic Schools. This research is a field research with a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources in this study are primary and secondary data sources. The data collection techniques in this study are interviews, observations, and documentation. During the data collection, the author tested the validity of the data through triangulation of techniques, sources, and time. Furthermore, data analysis uses stages of data collection, data reduction (data display), drawing conclusions, and clarification. The results of the study show, firstly, the role of the Islamic Spiritual Forum (Forisma) includes various aspects, such as being an organization in enhancing faith and piety, as an organization in improving understanding of Islamic teachings, and as an organization in developing students' potential. Secondly, the enhancement of students' religiousness at SMAN 3 Magelang includes several aspects, among others, increasing belief, increasing religious practices, increasing spiritual excellence and appreciation, increasing religious knowledge, increasing religious practice and consequences, in which with the existence of forisma activities, they have a better understanding of religious knowledge. The supporting factors are the school and family environment, while the inhibiting factor is the discipline of forisma leaders.} }
