N2  - The women's community has a huge influence in coloring the dynamics of social
interactions in society, women do not only play roles at home, such as housewives,
children and husbands. Women's involvement in social communities is still
considered less active because they are limited by time, access is difficult to reach,
weak personal capacity or human resources, and are faced with stereotypical stigma
that comes from various directions, such as women not being allowed to be active at
night. The aim of this research is to describe how social capital is developed in the
women's community at the Lintang Songo Foundation, and to describe the impact of
developing social capital in the women's community at the Lintang Songo
Foundation, on the surrounding community in empowering the community. The
research method used is qualitative research using descriptive strategies and a social
approach. Then the data collection used was observation, interviews and
documentation. The data sources for this research were members of the women's
community, management of the Lintang Songo Foundation, and the community
around the Foundation. The technique used in this research is the purposive
technique and the research validity technique uses the triangulation technique. The
results of the research show that the process of developing social capital in the
women's community at the Lintang Songo Foundation is going well through several
aspects of the social capital owned by the Foundation which are executed by the
Lintang Songo women's community. Various training and activities are often carried
out, such as religious activities, social activities, business training and agricultural
processing and agricultural products, all activities are intended for members of the
female community, Islamic boarding school students and the community around the
Lintang Songo Foundation. The development of social capital can help women's
communities gain better access to human resources, networks, business opportunities
and positive things so that it is very helpful in developing the surrounding
community. Finally, there is the great power of the women's community behind the
big name of the Lintang Songo Foundation, which is known for its Islamic boarding
school which focuses on entrepreneurship and eco-green.
