Based on data collected from the Online Information System for the Protection of Women and Children (SIMFONI PPA) starting from 2020-2022, it shows that data on sexual violence against children in Indonesia ranks first every year among other cases of violence. Victims of sexual violence generally experience trauma. The trauma experienced can include anxiety, fear, feelings of guilt, shame and despair, irritability, and loss of self-confidence. Individual counseling is an effort to help child victims of sexual violence deal with the problems they are experiencing so that they can be resolved well and can carry out their social functions optimally again. This research uses a qualitative case study approach, with the subjects being counselors, heads of institutions, and clients. The object of this research is the stages of individual counseling to overcome trauma in children who are victims of sexual violence at the Family Welfare Consultation Institute (LK3) of the Tasikmalaya City Social Service. Meanwhile, data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are first, the initial stage of counseling includes: building communication relationships involving clients, clarifying and identifying problems, and negotiating contracts. The two middle stages (work) include: exploring the client's problems, providing family therapy and spiritual therapy, exploring the client's desires, as well as evaluation and encouragement to make plans. Third, the final stage which includes: evaluating and following up on the course of the counseling process that has been carried out, such as updating the client's progress, client goals and client feelings. date: 2024-04-22 date_type: published pages: 147 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: Nova Defita, NIM.: 20102020033 (2024) KONSELING INDIVIDU UNTUK MENGATASI TRAUMA (STUDI KASUS PADA ANAK KORBAN KEKERASAN SEKSUAL DI LEMBAGA KONSULTASI KESEJAHTERAAN KELUARGA (LK3) DINAS SOSIAL KOTA TASIKMALAYA).
