%X Syafi'I, Islamic Community Development, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta, Social Participation in the Development of the Sorory Pelemadu Valley Tourism Village, Sriharjo Village, Bantul Regency. Sorory Pelemadu Valley Tourism is a family tour that has a very interesting history because this area was previously a garbage dump which was later transformed by residents into a campsite until finally it became a family tour. However, weaknesses are still found in the areas of community planning and participation.  On the basis of this phenomenon, this study exists to explore the development planning of Sorory Valley Tourism and social participation in the development of Sorory Valley Tourism. The study uses a case study approach and researchers have conducted in-depth interviews, field observations and documentation.  Based on the data that has been collected and interpreted, researchers found several important findings that are divided into 2 aspects. The first aspect, researchers succeeded in finding the development planning of the Sorory Valley Tourism Village through 4 (four) stages, namely: developing At this stage, it takes a long time to raise the awareness of the Pelemadu Hamlet community of the importance of their role in the development and management of tourist attractions, the developing stage at this stage, Sorory Valley Tourism has been glimpsed by many visitors and already has many visitors who come to enjoy every destination in Sorory Valley Tourism, the advanced stage at this stage Sorory Valley Tourism Village has begun to be recognized and glimpsed by visitors. Because this tour is the target market is children, so the majority of visitors to the Sorory Valley Tourism Village are children from the hamlets around the tourist attractions, the mandir stage At this stage the Tourism Village has tourism innovations from the community, tourist destinations, facilities and infrastructure have standards, and management is collaborative (pentahelix) (collaboration between village government parties).
