Communication management is needed by every tourism stakeholder in each region so that the potential can be conveyed accurately to the target audience.This raises questions about how tourism communication management promotes the Sonobudoyo Museum in Yogyakarta. This study aims to analyze the tourism communication management on promoting Sonobudoyo Museum. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a planning and management method of the promotional mix. This research shows that several things become obstacles in the promoting process, including some people's perception is that the museum is monotonous and ticket prices are considered more expensive when compared to other museums around the Sonobudoyo Museum. The Sonobudoyo Museum intensifies its promotion through various media, both online and offline channel, also organizes various programs that serve as attractions a side from the collection items exhibited in the display rooms.
