Suyadi, M.A. abstract: This research is based on the Indonesian emergency phenomenon of sexual abuse and violence against children. Among the factors causing this is parents neglecting to properly introduce sex education to their children and the impact of addiction to watching pornography. One strategy in sex education for children, especially in terms of self-protection, is the 4P strategy (Pray, Prediction, Prevention, Protection). In this strategy, children are taught religious values by asking Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala for protection and recognizing the characteristics of people, actions and environments that have the potential for sexual violence against children. The aim of this research is to determine strategies for forming self-protection skills, implementing self-protection building strategies and the results of implementing strategies for forming self-protection skills through the 4P method (Pray, Prediction, Prevention, Protection) as sex education (good and bad touch) for children aged 5-6 years. This research is a type of qualitative research with a case study approach carried out at Otto Ayana Housing, Padangsidimpuan District, North Sumatra Province. The data sources in this research are parents and people who have direct contact with children. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model. And test the validity of the data using triangulation of techniques and sources. The results of the research show that: a) The strategy for forming self-protection skills through the 4P method (Pray, Prediction, Prevention, Protection) begins with teaching daily prayers as a form of asking for protection from Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala, knowing the characteristics of perpetrators of child sexual abuse , monitoring the child's environment and playmates, even with the closest family, keeping the child busy with other activities so they don't play outside the house too often and teaching self-protection strategies by introducing sex education (good and bad touch) and equipping children with other self-defense skills. b) Implementing strategies for developing self-protection skills through the 4P method (Pray, Prediction, Prevention, Protection) for parents is quite difficult due to the mother's role as a career woman and the parents' lack of religious knowledge. c) The results of implementing the strategy to develop self-protection skills through the 4P method (Pray, Prediction, Prevention, Protection) in each family are different. Parents who have a good strategy are reflected in the child's quick reaction to situations that are uncomfortable for the child.
