In the world of education, students are required to be more active, creative, innovative both inside and outside school. So that students can be more active, an interesting and dynamic learning model is needed, namely multiliteracy-based learning. With this learning model, it is hoped that students can compete in the era of globalization. This research aims to determine 1) the effect of the multiliteracy learning model on critical reading skills in the science subject of class V students at MI Miftahul Huda Kebonbatur. 2) the influence of the multiliteracy learning model on critical thinking skills in science subjects for class V students at MI Miftahul Huda Kebonbatur. This type of research is Pre Experimental Design with a quantitative approach with a one group pretest-posttest research design. The subjects of this research were all 23 class V students. Data collection techniques use observation and tests. The data analysis technique used was validity using Microsoft Excel, reliability using Cronbach-Alpha, normality test using Kolmogrov-Smirnov and hypothesis testing using the N-Gain test and sample paired T-test. The results of the research show that 1) there is an influence of the multiliteracy learning model on critical reading skills in the science subject of class V students at MI Miftahul Huda Kebonbatur. Evidenced by the increase in the average posttest result from the pretest of 26.31 (mean pretest score of 41.52 and mean posttest score of 67.83), the results of the N-Gain analysis were 46\%, which indicates that the increase is in the quite effective category. This is also confirmed by the results of hypothesis testing with paired sample T-test, namely the sig value. 0.000 {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05, so the first research hypothesis is accepted. 2) there is an influence of the multiliteracy model on critical thinking skills in science subjects for class V students at MI Miftahul Huda Kebonbatur. Evidenced by the increase in the average posttest result from the pretest of 27.9 (mean pretest score of 38.04 and mean posttest score of 66.3), the results of the N-Gain analysis were 46\%, which indicates that the improvement is in the quite effective category. This is also confirmed by the test results with sample paired T-test, namely the sig value. 0.000 {\ensuremath{<}} 0.05, so the second research hypothesis is also accepted. The results of this research have implications that basic education institutions and their educators need to continue to develop multiliteracy learning, especially in science subjects, because it is effective enough to facilitate the development of students' critical reading and critical thinking skills.} }
