Servant leadership or servant leadership is a leadership style that is applied as an effort to improve the quality of Sumenep State MA. In the educational context, servant leadership emphasizes leaders who put the interests of others first, have a servant nature, and encourage the growth and welfare of subordinates. So this research aims to describe, examin e and analyze the servant leadership approach in improving the quality of madrasas.This research is a qualitative type with an analytical descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis was carried out using data condensation, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. Meanwhile, checking the validity of the data through source triangulation and technical triangulation. The results of the research show that: 1) The head of the Sumenep State MA madrasah has a special strategy in an effort to improve the quality of his institution, one of which is implementing a servant leadership pattern by understanding the duties, functions, rights and obligations of teachers and students. The forms of service provided by the head of the Sumenep State MA can make a real contribution to the welfare of teachers and the comfort and safety of students. 2) The contribution of the head of the Sumenep State MA madrasa is that he is responsible for developing teacher performance and students' academic and non-academic potential in order to improve the quality of the madrasa. The relationships that are built between educational elements have also been pursued in line with coordination lines. Therefore, the spirit of the teacher's work ethic is created well in the process of teaching and learning activities. 3) The key to the success of implementing servant leadership carried out by the head of the Sumenep State Supreme Court is the implementation of communication and coordination, which is done as an effort to increase work motivation and employee performance.
