In the Al-Qur'an, surah at-Taubah verse 60 explains that mustahiq zakat consists of eight groups, namely poor, poor, amil, mu'allaf, riqab, gharim, fi sabililah, ibn sabil. However, for the people of Karangsari Village, Kebumen District, Kebumen Regency, the mustahiq zakat group is not only limited to these eight groups. The majority of people also give zakat fitrah to kyai who are not listed in the terminology of the eight existing groups. This is an interesting phenomenon to research and study. The focus of this research is the perception of the Karangsari Village Community, Kebumen District, Kebumen Regency regarding mustahiq zakat, and why the Karangsari Village Community prioritizes giving zakat fitrah to kyai and clans. Thus, the aim of this research is to find out people's perceptions and their reasons or motivations for giving zakat fitrah to kyai and people. This research uses a sociological normative approach. Meanwhile, the analysis method uses descriptive analysis. The results obtained from this research are that the zakat fitrah given to kyai and people who live in the village or outside the village on the eve of the holiday has become a custom that is still valid today. This practice in Islamic law can be justified, because religious figures such as kyai and people fall into the category of sabilillah. However, there are some zakat fitrah giving that are not appropriate, including zakat fitrah which is given to people outside the area while in the area there are still people who cannot afford it and do not receive zakat. %K Pendistribusian Zakat Fitrah, Kyai, Hukum ‘Urf, Mustahik %D 2024 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib65703
