Abdul Mughits, S.Ag. M.Ag abstract: The research conducted by the author was entitled "Review of Islamic Law and Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection of bakpia which does not include an Expiration Label on the Packaging (case study: Teras Malioboro Yogyakarta)" This research was motivated by the widespread marketing of bakpia products which did not include an expiration date label. which makes some consumers complain because there is no clarity about the product, so that consumers cannot determine the time period for consuming the bakpia product and in fact most of the product is already moldy before the specified time period. This research is field research or field research, namely research with data obtained from field activities. The data collection technique for this research is in the form of field studies and literature studies. This research is descriptive in nature. This research approach is normative juridical. The data sources in this research are primary data sources, namely bakpia traders in Teras Malioboro, Yogyakarta, as well as secondary data sources, namely theses, journals, the internet or documentation and others related to the object under study. The results of this research indicate that the practice of buying and selling bakpia without including an expiry date on Teras Malioboro has fulfilled the pillars and conditions for valid buying and selling, one of which is on the basis of willingness between the seller and the buyer. If seen from the applied khiyār theory it tends to be khiyār 'aib . Khiyār ‘aib is a condition given to buyers to allow them to return the goods purchased, if the goods have criteria that are not as indicated in the purchase. However, if viewed from positive law, the sale and purchase does not comply with the provisions of Law No. 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and Government Regulation No. 69 of 1999 concerning Expiration Labels and Food Advertisements. Expiration labels for food products must include information on the date, month, and expiration year. date: 2024-05-27 date_type: published pages: 130 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS SYARI’AH DAN HUKUM thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: Rika Mashari Sipahutar, NIM.: 20103080001 (2024) TINJAUAN HUKUM ISLAM DAN UU NO.8 TAHUN 1999 TENTANG PERLINDUNGAN KONSUMEN TERHADAP PRODUK BAKPIA YANG TIDAK MENCANTUMKAN TANGGAL KADALUARSA ( STUDI KASUS : TERAS MALIOBORO YOGYAKARTA ).
