N2  - Social media is the result of technological advances which are widely used because of their ease in disseminating information and communication. According to a survey by the Indonesian Internet Service Providers Association (APJII) in 2023, the number of internet users in Indonesia will reach 215 million users. One of the cities in Indonesia that will have the highest penetration in 2024 is Yogyakarta. Yogyakarta has an internet penetration rate of 83.73%. As a medium of communication and entertainment, social media is also used as a medium for da'wah which turns out to be able to influence human behavior. One of them is Husain Basyaiban's TikTok preaching account
This research aims to find out whether there is an influence caused by the intensity of accessing Husain Basyaiban's TikTok preaching account on the social behavior of Muslim students on the management of the Yogyakarta Riau Islands Student Association (IPMKRY), how much influence the intensity of accessing Husain Basyaiban's TikTok preaching account has on behavior. Muslim students' social relations with the IPMKRY management and what is the direction of influence. This research is based on the basic assumptions of the Hypodermic Needle Theory which states that mass media is direct, fast, and has a very strong impact on society.
This research uses a quantitative approach with data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires to 67 respondents. The results of this research show that there is a significant influence of the intensity of accessing Husain Basyaiban's TikTok preaching account on the social behavior of Muslim students on the IPMKRY board of 39.6% and the direction of the influence is positive, meaning that the higher the intensity of accessing Husain Basyaiban's TikTok preaching account, the higher the influence. caused by the social behavior of Muslim students on the IPMKRY management.
