        abstract = {Archives management is an activity or activity related to archives from creation to archive depreciation. The effectiveness of archive management is very necessary in the implementation of administration, because archives are a source of memory for an organization that can accommodate various useful information materials. If an archive is not managed properly then the archive cannot have any use value. This research examines the management of marriage administration archives at KUA Umbulharjo from conventional form to be converted into digital form following the development of information technology today.
The research in this thesis is field research and is descriptive analytical in nature. The data sources used in this research use primary and secondary data. The primary data used is interviews with the Head of KUA Umbulharjo and the authorities. Secondary data was obtained from books, journals and data archives related to archive management. Then the data obtained in the research was analyzed using the maslahah murlah approach.
Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the management of marriage administration records has been carried out well. The innovation program for a modern records management system using more sophisticated technology can make it easier for authorized officers to carry out their duties. However, because there is no special archivist at the KUA, this is something that could hinder the implementation of the innovation program created by the Head of KUA Umbulharjo in the form of digital deeds. However, the Head of KUA Umbulharjo made efforts to keep the innovation program running. One of the efforts made is in the form of providing technical guidance related to the operation of digital certificate systems and understanding IT (Information Technology). In this case, the efforts made by the Umbulharjo KUA in overcoming obstacles in the implementation of archive management using a digital deed system can be called maslahah murlah in the maslahah hajiyyat category. This is meant because it is not a basic need, but rather as a complement to basic benefits and can eliminate difficulties faced by humans.}
