N2  - Problems in marriage will continue to exist from time to time. Many families fail to develop ideally. Various kinds of problems arise both from the side of husband and wife, parents and their children, as well as the surrounding environment so that many families can be said to be far from the word Sakinah. The government provides a solution with the marriage guidance regulations regulated in the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance Number 172 of 2022 concerning instructions for implementing marriage guidance for prospective brides and grooms. However, it cannot be denied that there are also many institutions outside the government that carry out similar things, such as organizations or classes, both private and seminars, which provide guidance with the aim of providing basic knowledge about marriage to help prepare the generation of married age who are ready to build an ideal family in the future.
The field research carried out at the Sakinah School was qualitative research with a descriptive-analytic nature, namely describing the research object through real data in the form of narrative descriptions, accompanied by sociological analysis. This research uses an Islamic legal sociology approach to provide an explanation of legal science practices that regulate the reciprocal relationship between social phenomena in Muslim communities that adhere strictly to Islamic law by conducting observations, interviews and documentation.
The results of this research indicate that Sakinah School in practice or implementation is in accordance with curriculum guidelines. In providing learning facilities with all the required components, including materials, resource persons, learning methods and other supporting components, they have also been fulfilled properly. However, it cannot be denied that there are shortcomings in its implementation, namely because it is held online, the material is not absorbed optimally and time is limited. Sakinah School plays an important role for the participants who take part. They gain basic knowledge in marriage as preparation for creating a sakinah mawaddah warahmah family. Apart from marriage guidance, the Sakinah School also provides a ta'aruf forum as a form of effort to support the realization of the Sakinah family by finding a soul mate according to Islamic law.
