"Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) experienced problems with public services. This problem started when the people of Aceh had no other options in terms of financial institutions. Financial institutions in Aceh Province must use the sharia system and do not allow conventional system-based financial institutions. This is to implement Qanun Number 11 of 2018 concerning Sharia Financial Institutions. Because the option of only using sharia makes financial institutions limited. BSI, which is a merger of 3 large banks (Bank Republik Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia and Bank Mandiri) under the State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), also does not provide options for where to do mutations. For users of the bank, everything is directed to the BSI bank such as long queues, Automated Teller Machine jams, and customer funds that do not enter. For public service problems that occur at BSI, the Ombudsman has the authority to resolve public service complaint problems. So this research will review how the Ombudsman resolves public service complaints that occur at BSI and will be reviewed from the settlement according to Islamic law.\r\nThis type of research is normative-empirical research (applied law research) using a judicial case study approach or case study approach because there are conflicts of problems that involve intervening decisions (jurisprudence). In the data collection method, the authors used observation, interview and documentation methods.\r\nThe results of the study show the first two points, that in solving public service problems the ombudsman uses two mechanisms, (1) playing an active role by conducting initiative investigations based on mass media reports by making improvements to public services. (2) direct public reports by using a quick way, namely calling the party concerned, namely the bank.
