The tarikan tradition is performed to cover the cost of the Ruwatan ritual, which is performed in the month of Suro. The presence of traditional elements such as offerings and belief in mystical things triggers differences of opinion among the people of Sajen Village. However, this is a dynamic in people's lives that cannot be avoided. This is because cultural and religious diversity has become the identity of the Indonesian nation. More than that, culture as a creation of human hands certainly contains various values, both positive and negative. Therefore, the social system in the form of values, norms and sanctions is implemented as an effort to control individuals and groups so that they remain in the social order, namely maintaining harmony in society. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method to answer the identified problem formulation. To collect data, the researchers used participant observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Participant observation was conducted by following the Ruwatan ritual which was performed in Sajen Village, Trucuk District, Klaten Regency for three days. The theory used is Emile Durkheim's theory of social facts. This theory works to describe external forces in the form of social facts that force individuals or groups to follow traditions of tarikan. The results of the research show that the system of values and norms, as well as the sanctions imposed, greatly influence the actions of individuals and groups. The values of tolerance, togetherness, justice, empathy, responsibility and mutual cooperation are practiced in the Tug tradition. Based on these values, people of different faiths, including members of the Nadhatul Ulama Islamic Religious Movement, Muhammadiyah, the Indonesian Islamic Da'wah Institute, as well as Catholics, can be mediated through differences in attraction. This distinction refers to the attraction for mosque renovation and the attraction for the Ruwatan ritual. Apart from that, the pulling tradition also has a socio-religious impact, namely strengthening the sense of tolerance, harmony, receiving blessings from Allah SWT, increasing community involvement, improving the local economy, maintaining and introducing the traditions and arts found in Sajen Village.} }
