abstract: This study reviews the implementation of the LITA program to improve the community's economy. This study aims to determine the Implementation of the Applied Literacy Activity Program (LITA) for Improving the Community's Economy in Pengok Reading Village, using qualitative research and a case study approach. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. Tests for the validity of the data used are credibility tests (triangulation and member checks), transferability tests, dependability tests, and confirmability tests. Data analysis techniques are carried out by reducing data which is then presented in the form of narrative text and supported by strong data, so that credible conclusions can be drawn. The results of the study stated that the Pengok Reading Village located in Demangan provides several activities that can benefit the community in the form of improving the economy, especially for housewives who are LITA members. Several activities in LITA that can significantly improve the community's economy include: batik training (jumputan, cybori and eco print) as well as training in making eco enzyme. The program is in line with the National Library of Indonesia Program which aims to reduce unemployment. LITA's own activities use themes from local wisdom and instructors from the reading village community themselves. The LITA program has been implemented for 3 years, and the results have been felt by the community to buy their daily needs and reduce expenses because they can make their own to meet their needs.
