This study used associative quantitative methods with two variables, namely the independent variable (music) and the dependent variable (reading comprehension). The population in this study is Library Science students of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta class of 2019 who are still active who often or have heard music when working on their thesis. Of the 129 Library Science students, there are 60 students who can be used as a population as well as a sample. In data collection, researchers used questionnaires or questionnaires with four alternative answers. Complementary data collection techniques use unstructured interview techniques. Next to do it using the correlation of Product Moment and Alpha Cronbach. Data analysis uses simple linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. This study found the fact that there is an influence between listening to music and reading comprehension of Library Science students. This is evidenced by the correlation of Product Moment pop music of 0.311, rock music 0.322, dangdut music 0.352, reggae music 0.346 and jazz music 3.27. This value is in the range of coefficient values of 0.20 ? 0.399 with a low level of relationship. Music genre has a low relationship with reading comprehension level, which means there are other factors that can affect reading comprehension levels.
